The National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, has extended his congratulations to Prince Aliyu Kolapo Abdulkadir following his appointment as the new District Head (Daudu) of Ballah in Asa Local Government Area.

Reacting to the announcement made by the Emir of Ilorin's palace, the IEDPU President commended the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, for his foresight in appointing a highly educated and experienced administrator to the historic position.

Alhaji Abdulmalik, who shared a personal connection to the community having received part of his primary education in Ballah, noted that the town is a strategic hub for both the Union and the Federal Government. He emphasized that the arrival of a "legal luminary" and retired NIMASA director like Prince Abdulkadir would undoubtedly stimulate socio-economic growth in that axis of the Emirate.

"The leadership and presence of such a renowned administrator on the seat of Daudu Ballah will foster further development for our people," the President stated. He added that the Union looks forward to collaborating with the new District Head to advance community interests.

The IEDPU leader concluded by praying for a peaceful and prosperous reign for the 68-year-old Prince, who is a son of the 10th Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Aliyu Baba Agba Abdulkadir, and holds both LL.B. and LL.M. degrees.
