2027: Hon. Saba Insists On Power Shift To Kwara North As APC Begins E-Registration
Dr. Ahmed Adamu Saba, the Member of the House of Representatives representing the Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency, has called on All Progressives Congress (APC) members to participate fully in the party's ongoing electronic membership registration exercise.
The lawmaker made this appeal following a New Year stakeholders' meeting of the Edu Local Government Area APC held in Ilorin. The meeting, which brought together key party leaders, focused on three major pillars: the digital membership drive, the state's security landscape, and the political roadmap toward the 2027 general elections.
Addressing the press, Hon. Saba emphasized that the e-registration is vital for strengthening the party's database and fostering internal democracy. He assured members that ward-to-ward sensitization is already underway to ensure a seamless registration process for those at the grassroots level.
Turning to the 2027 governorship race, the federal lawmaker made a strong case for "power shift," arguing that it is the turn of Kwara North to produce the next governor. He maintained that the zone possesses highly competent and qualified individuals ready to succeed Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq at the end of his second term.
Hon. Saba also took the opportunity to commend Governor AbdulRazaq for his proactive stance against banditry and kidnapping. He praised the collaborative efforts of security agencies, noting that their sacrifices have significantly improved stability across the state. He concluded by reaffirming the commitment of the Edu APC leadership to mobilize support for the party while promoting peace and unity.
