Kwara Garment Factory Reports First-Quarter Growth Amid Governor's Industrialisation Push
Hajia Bukola Adedeji, Managing Director of Kwara Garment Factory in Ilorin, has announced significant progress at the factory during the first quarter of 2025.
The update was shared during an inter-ministerial press briefing organised by the Ministry of Communications, held at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Finance in Ilorin, the state capital.
Adedeji attributed the factory's achievements to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's strategic focus on industrialisation, job creation, and empowering young people and women.
"None of this would be possible without the bold leadership of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, whose industrialisation drive continues to position Kwara as a rising force in Nigeria's economy," she said.
She disclosed that the factory has created thousands of direct and indirect jobs, with particular focus on women and youths.
Adedeji said that the factory has introduced a robust quality control system to enhance production standards and took strategic steps to position itself for continental trade under the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).
She said the factory was engaged for the production of branded apparel for the Renewed Hope Initiative Agricultural Programme and the supply of custom souvenir items to the First Lady of Kwara State, Ambassador Olufolake AbdulRazaq.
"Additionally, the Factory delivered branded T-shirts and caps to the Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWASRRA)", she said
"The month of March 2025 saw the delivery of factory uniforms to TASCON, Ilorin and the production of over 25,000 tote bags for a major organisation-further underscoring the factory's capacity for large-scale production.
"In April, the factory continued to expand its impact by producing branded polo shirts for the KWARA LEARN educational initiative and custom Aso-Oke souvenir bags for the Nigerian Air Force, set to be presented during the upcoming African Armed Forces event."
