Date: 2025-03-17

Islamic scholars and clerics in Kwara State have underscored the importance of performing good deeds, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

At a Ramadan lecture and special prayer programme organised in Ilorin for the continued success of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq's administration, Islamic scholar Sheikh Mudazir Maikudi encouraged attendees to embrace virtues such as generosity, patience, and unwavering devotion to Allah. He stressed that acts of kindness and sincerity attract divine blessings and foster communal harmony.

The event, coordinated by the Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of Youth Development, Hon. Yakub Babatunde Ajadi Prudent, gathered religious scholars, political figures, and community leaders.

Sheikh Maikudi praised the organiser for his dedication to public service and prayed for his sustained progress in future endeavours.

In his guest lecture, the Chief Missioner of Ansarul Islam, Sheikh Abdulmumeen Anafi Ayara, spoke on the essence of righteousness during Ramadan, urging believers to remain steadfast in their faith and contribute positively to society.

He also highlighted Hon. Yakub Prudent's dedication to community development, describing him as a man of integrity and a strong pillar of support for the people.

The prayer session was led by the Ajanasi of Ilorin, Dr Mujitaba Bature Yusuf, who delivered supplications for Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. In his prayer, Dr Bature emphasised that the well-being of a leader directly affects the well-being of his people.
