Kwara State Government Renovates NYSC Orientation Camp Sewage System
In keeping with its promises to the National Youth Service Corps, the Kwara State Government has embarked on a comprehensive renovation of the sewage system at the NYSC orientation camp in Yikpata, Edu Local Government Area of the State, as reported by Voice of Nigeria.
The NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Onifade Joshua, expressed his delight at the ongoing renovation project and commended the state governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for regularly fulfilling his promises to the NYSC scheme in the state.
According to Mr. Onifade, the state government has always responded positively to the scheme's requests. The renovation exercise includes overhauling failed septic tanks, water reticulation into hostels, laying of tiles, replacement of broken pipes, and repairing existing bathrooms.
The State Coordinator described the project as very timely, as it is coming up just a few days before the official commencement of the 2024 Batch B, Stream 2 orientation course.
He also declared that about 1,960 prospective Corps members are expected to camp in the state and expressed the readiness of the scheme to host the Corps members conveniently in the orientation camp.
