Kwara United banished to Abuja

Kwara United will play their next home game in Abuja following the abrupt ending of Sunday's NPL game against Sunshine Stars in Ilorin. 

A top NPL official told MTNFootball.com that the Ilorin club have been asked to play their next home game in Abuja as a result of the pitch encroachment Sunday which forced the Week 12 fixture to be abandoned with minutes to spare.

"Kwara have been asked to host their next home game in Abuja pending the final decision as regards the incident at their game on Sunday," the official disclosed.

The scores were 1-1 before the drama which saw a top Sunshine official run on to the pitch after claiming he was attacked by fans of the host team.

Kwara's next home game is slated for March 14 against Niger Tornadoes. Kwara are third on the table with 18 points from 10 matches, while s decision is yet to be taken as regards the final result of Sunday's match against Sunshine.
