KWSG Promises Continued Provision of Adequate Infrastructure

The Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has assured all residents of his commitment to continuously upgrade the available infrastructure and build new ones, promising to ensure that appropriate protocols are put in place to streamline all processes and keep Kwara as an investment destination.

The Governor, who gave the assurance at the official opening of the 10th Kwara Trade Fair holding at the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Ilorin, expressed the State government's continued support to the Nano, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and all stakeholders, especially, all Security Agencies in order to keep  the State safe and healthy for businesses to thrive. 

Governor AbdulRazaq noted that the present administration is focused on improving the ease of doing business in the State, saying that the State government has invested so much on different projects and programmes to empower the youths and create platforms for sustainable job creation. 

Such initiatives include the Innovation Hub, Garment Factory, Visual Arts Centre, Sugar Film Factory, Shea Butter Factory, among others.

He stated further "The whole world is going through a new phase in economic recovery, owing to climate change and different developments of the past years. At this time, we must work together to build a more resilient economy and a sustainable future. Our doors are always open and we look forward to working with all Stakeholders."

Governor AbdulRazaq then urged and invited the Captains of Industries around the world to work with his administration to build a future that is both prosperous and responsible for Kwara State, while commending the Kwara State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KWACCIMA) and other Stakeholders towards the successful hosting of the Kwara 10th Trade Fair regardless of the economic situations worldwide.

Earlier, the State Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, commended the efforts of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for providing necessary  support, enabling  environment, infrastructure  and policies to facilitate the success and make businesses thrive in the State as well as appreciating the Kwara State Chambers of Commerce,  Industry, Mining  and Agriculture   for organising the 10th  Annual Trade Fair in the State. 

The Commissioner revealed that the Governor has recently signed a Memorandum  of Understanding (MOU) with the Global Telecoms Giant  IHS Tower on how to effectively deploy the llorin Innovation Hub to its core objectives of making the State an innovative technology  and entrepreneurship hub for socio-economic growth.

Hon. Damilola charged  Entrepreneurs and business Moguls to think beyond conventional boundaries to envision  Kwara State as a hub of innovative and economic  prosperity.

She however, emphasized  the reason why trade fair is not only  to showcase products but also to establish and maintain customer relations.

Also Speaking, the President, Kwara State Chamber of Commerce Industry, Mining and Agriculture, (KWACClMA), Barrister, Dr. (Mrs.) Aderonke Adeyemi, commended the Governor for his support and for creating an enabling environment for easy of doing businesses in the State, appreciating the Commissioner for Business,  Innovation and Technology for the timely support to make this year trade fair a success.

Dr. Adeyemi stated that trade fair is to foster community engagement and collaboration among businesses and industries for economic prosperity of the State.

The President added that the Chamber aims to promote and  protect Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture across the State as well as promote rich cultural activities of the State.
