Four alumni of Kwara State University won national and regional prizes of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria COREN for their undergraduate research.

Faruq Obasanjo Adekola was awarded the 2nd Best Engineering Graduate (National), while the trio of Sodiq Olamide Olaitan, Fawaz Afolami Arowoduye and Muhiz Akangbe were announced as winners of the COREN prize for Best Group Project (Regional).

The announcement and presentation took place at the 31st General Assembly of COREN recently held in Abuja.

The winner of the 2nd best engineering graduate in the national category graduated in 2022, while the regional group prize winners completed their undergraduate studies in 2021.

The Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Engr. Professor Abdulganiu Funsho Alabi FNSE; the Sub-Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Morakinyo W. Kareem, and Dr. Sefiu A. Bello were present at the event.
