Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed of Kwara State has directed the State Road Maintenance Agency (KWARMA) to begin simultaneous rehabilitation of damaged roads across the three senatorial districts of the state from January next year.

This, according to the General Manager of the agency, Engr. Usman Baba Jubril, was to ensure that each district is equally represented in the palliatives.

Jubril, in an exclusive interview with newsmen on Thursday in Ilorin, assured that the agency would not shirk its responsibility of making all roads motorable across the state.

He said; "His Excellency has directed that, as from next year January, we should begin the simultaneous rehabilitation of all damaged roads across the three senatorial districts.

"The development is to make sure that each senatorial district is adequately and equally represented. I want to assure the people of Kwara State that our agency is working in line with the vision of the governor to ensure that all roads are motorable.

"As you can see, we rehabilitated quite number of roads across the state, particularly the state capital. Our target is every road must be in proper shape and motorable", he said.

Engr. Jubril told The Herald that the agency is currently carrying out rehabilitation in Adewole area of Ilorin.

He urged motorists and other road users to cooperate with the workers of KWARMA while carrying out repairs on roads in order to ensure peaceful atmosphere.

The KWARMA boss commended the state governor and the state Commissioner for their continuous support to the agency.
