KWSG REAPS DIVIDENDS OF COUNTERPART FUNDING IN NUTRITION SERVICES.

Kwara State Government's continuous payment of counterpart funds and compliance with contents of signed memorandum of understanding in the various health interventions in the state are parts of the winning formula of the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's administration in the state.

The Permanent Secretary of the Kwara State Ministry of Health, Dr. Abubakar Ayinla gave this indication in an induction speech while playing host to the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of SOLINA HEALTH, Dr. Muyiwa Aina.

The Permanent Secretary said the State Government has sustained her lead role in the health industry through strategic payment of counterpart funds and has kept the various health interventions in the state impactful to the citizens.

He congratulated the CEO and members of his team for emerging successful in a highly competitive bid under the watch of the World Bank in the selection of Non-State actors for the implementation of the Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria, ANRiN, project.

Dr Ayinla charged the SOLINA Health to live up to expectations while implementating the terms of reference relevant to their organisation in the ANRiN project.

In his remarks, the CEO of SOLINA Health,Dr. Muyiwa Aina, expressed delight and readiness to compliment the good works of the State Governor.

He appreciated the warm reception by the various health workers and anticipates that he will get all necessary support to excel.

Also speaking at the induction meeting were the Director Public Health, Dr. Oluwatosin Fakayode and the Programme Manager of the ANRiN project, Dr. Habeeb Lawal who also gave assurances to the new member of the health team in the state for a mutual and collaborative working relationship.

The organisation was duly inducted by the Permanent Secretary into the State Ministry of Health as part of the winning team in the health sector to provide nutritional related interventions of World Bank supported Federal and State Government driven Nutrition program.
