NDLEA appeals for support to complete rehabilitation center

Kwara state command of the National Drug Law enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has called on the state government and other wealthy individuals to assist in the completion of it's drug rehabilitation center to complement it's effort in the treatment and rehabilitation of drug dependent persons in the state.

The state Commander of the Agency ,Mr Ambrose Umoru made the call while speaking with Journalists in Ilorin.

According to him the drug rehabilitation center when completed Will accommodate about 100 clients at a time.

Mr Umoru explained that following the involvement of youths and women in the consumption and trafficking in illicit drugs , the rehabilitation center will assist in their counseling and reintegration.

He noted that the facility will have a skill acquisition center to enable the clients learn a vocation of their choice before their final release.

Mr Umoru however commended the Emir of Ilorin , Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari for initiating the project with a view to ensuring the removal and rehabilitation of young ones who are into drug taking from the street.
