The speaker's condolence message according to the statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Shuaib Abdulkadir in Ilorin described the lecturer's death as devastating.

Ahmad, who was a former Dean, Faculty of Law in the institution noted that late Abdulsalam who was one of the pillars of not only his department and faculty would be greatly be missed by the entire university environment.

The Speaker described the deceased as an erudite scholar in Islam, and very experienced in his field, noting that over the years he had succeeded in moulding a great number of students who were very fortunate to pass through the institution.

The lawmaker said, "without mincing words, the late university Don lived a life worthy of emulation by impacting positively on the youths who are the nation's future".

Ahmad, consoled the Vice Chancellor, Professor AbdulGaniyu Age, the deceased immediate family and other lecturers in the institution, praying that Allah in His Infinite mercy give them the fortitude to bear the loss.

The speaker also prayed Allah to forgive the deceased his sins and grant him Al-Janahtul firdaos.
