Channels Kids Cup: Gov hails Kwara kids

Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed has congratulated LGEA Central Primary School, Kaiama, for winning the 10th Channels International Kids Cup in Lagos on Sunday.

The governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Abdulwahab Oba, promised that his administration would continue to prioritise giving opportunity to the youths through sports and providing conducive environment to learning.

Ahmed said, "We will continue to invest in sports development because the sector is good enough to create jobs for our teeming youths."

The governor also promised to support the pupils in their bid to develop themselves.

Kwara defeated Osun State 3-1 to win the competition.

Kwara kids from Burahanudeen LGEA Primary School, Ilorin, were runners-up in the 2017 edition of the tournament.
