Unilorin: Sheikh Adam Al-Ilory International Conference Starts
An international conference themed "The Life and Works of Shaykh Adam Abdullahi Al-Ilory" started today, Friday, at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria.
The keynote addresses of the conference will be delivered by eminent international scholars such as Prof. Stefan Reichmuth of the Department of Oriental and Islamic Studies, University of Bochum, Germany, and Dr. Mahdi Sati Salih, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Cultural Affairs), International University of Africa, Khartoum, Sudan. This is apart from the lead papers to be presented by the creme-de-la-creme of Arabic and Islamic scholarship in Nigeria, including the first Muslim Professor of Arabic in Yorubaland, Prof. Razaq D. Abubakre.
