Kwara United Players Injured, Bus Damaged In Road Accident

Players and officials of newly promoted Nigeria Professional Football League club Kwara United were involved in a road accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Wednesday morning, Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN) reports.

No life was lost in the incident, which occurred around Ibadan, in which the team bus was badly damaged.

The team was on their way to Ilorin from Lagos where they participated in the Bet9ja Nigeria National League Super Four competition which ended in on Tuesday.

CSN could not reach the media officer of the club Waheed Bibire to get further information on the incident. CSN however learnt that the injured players and officials have been taken to the hospital.

The Harmony Boys are back in the top flight after spending two seasons in the NNL.

John Obuh's men are scheduled to host Niger Tornadoes of Minna at home on Sunday in their match day one fixture.
