The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara South Senatorial District, at the weekend, described those behind the recall process of Senator Rafiu Ibrahim from the National Assembly as unknown entities.

The party said the recall agitators bearing the name 'Kwara South Unity Forum' were unknown, faceless and could not represent the wishes and expectations ?of the people of Kwara South.

The party said this at a press conference in Ajase-Ipo, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, where the senatorial chairman of the party, Alhaji Jimoh Balogun, insisted that those seeking the recall of the legislator enjoyed the sponsorship of some forces but refused to name those he alleged were the sponsors of the exercise.

Balogun, who clarified that Kwara South APC was neither enmeshed in internal wrangling nor divided, said the party was in full support of Senator Ibrahim. He said the proponents of the recall were merely dancing to the gallery and acting the script of their paymasters because the Kwara South senator had endeared himself to the hearts of the people he represented through developmental projects.
