OBUH OPTIMISTIC NEW SIGNINGS CAN LEAD KWARA UNITED TO 'NEXT LEVEL'

Date: 2018-01-05

The Harmony Warriors handler says the chemistry shown by their new acquisitions has given him reasons to worry less ahead of the campaign Kwara United coach John Obuh believes their newly-signed players can lead them to the 'next level' on their return to the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The Harmony Warriors stayed two seasons in the Nigeria National League before they staged a comeback to the elite division and Obuh who oversaw the acquisition of 15 new players affirmed that they are back to prove that they belong among the top teams.

Kwara United captured Ismaila Gata from Enyimba while Aliyu Yakubu [FC Abuja], Aminu Abdulkadir [Nasarawa United], Chima Uluocha [Abia Warriors], Chinedu Chukwu [Abia Comets], Bright Ejike [Remo Stars], Kayode Agboola [Shooting Stars], Malachy Ilo [Niger Tornadoes] were also some of the players acquired by the side.

"It has been a good pre-season for us because we have played so many games to keep the boys in shape. The players we have signed are the ones we feel can take us to the next level. It was a painstaking recruitment by us and we shall see the manifestation of it by the time the season starts," Obuh told Goal.

"I don't see us struggling because the acquisitions we have made along with the other players in the team should ensure that we finish conveniently among the top 10 and even more.

"I am not saying that we shall get what we desire on the platter but with these crops of players it is safe to say that we should expect positive outcome at the end of the season."

Kwara United finished first in the NNL Northern Conference and they will compete in the division's Super Four alongside Yobe Desert Stars, Heartland and Go Round FC.
