Kwara Unted have stated that their solitary point in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Sunshine Stars of Akure is vital, but they are not guaranteed their Premier League safety yet.

The Afonja Warriors survived a late scare at the Dipo Dina Stadium  as the hosts were awarded a debatabe penalty in added time but they missed. It was the team's first points on the road in their last 15 games.

Dubious

Team's spokesman Olayioye Ajide told futaa.com that although the point gained is crucial, they will need to bag a win in the final home game to be sure of retaining their place in the elite division.

- It was a very tough game even gthough we are almost undone by the referee who gave a dubious penalty to Sunshine Stars but thankfully, it was missed.

-The point is vital but we still need to win our last game to be sure of our safety.

Kwara's last game of the season will see them play host to Shooting Stars at the Ilorin Township Stadium in Round 38.
