ABS Players Undergo Medicals Ahead New Season Kickoff

Newly promoted ABS of Ilorin put all their registered players through a medical screening exercise ahead of the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season which kicks off on January 14, Completesportsnigeria.com has gathered.

The players underwent tests such as electrocardiograph, cardiovascular system, ECG, Echocardiography, Musculoskeletal system, among others.

According to the media officer of the club, Olayinka Owolewa, the medical screening was conducted under the close supervision of the club's team doctor, Olusegun Osasona.

Meanwhile, the Ilorin based side defeated a Lokoja based team Federal Medical Centre Football Club 5-0 on Thursday in Lokoja in one of their tune-up matches ahead of the new season.

ABS will take on Akwa United in their opening fixture of the new season in Ilorin on January 14.
