Brothers draged to court over father's land
Two brothers, Abdulmajeed Alawola, 35 and Tunde Alawola, 25 both of No. 123 lie Alawola in Okelele Area of llorin, who allegedly caused a breach of the public peace over their late father's property, have appeared before an llorin Magistrate Court.
The accused were dragged before the court on a three-count charge of criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass and mischief.
Trouble began for the accused following a complaint by Alhaji Usman Adekunle of No.7 Opeyemi Street, Sawmill, llorin on July 15 at the 'B'; Divisional Police Station, Ilorin.
According to the complainant, the brothers criminally trespassed into his land, which he claimed to have been sold to him by their father.
Alhaji Adekunle said the accused and others at large, came to his house with some hoodlums, or area boys, and chased out the occupants and flung out their belongings.
He alleged further that the boys also destroyed his building and the fence, as they rebuffed his effort stop them.
Police First Information Report (FIR) on the matter stated that; investigation conducted revealed that the accused committed the offences which contradict Section 97, 342 and 326 of Penal Code Law.
The prosecutor, Sergeant , Hassan Jubril, objected to the bail the accused and urged the court remand them at prison custody llorin, till the next adjourned date
