Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed has said the present predicament in the country was neither the All Progressives Congress(APC) nor any political party's problem but a national problem.
The governor who dropped the hint while giving audience to the leadership of Nigeria Youth Parliament led by its speaker, Hon Ayodele Obe called for collaborative efforts in combating the problem.
The governor also identified huge challenges of human capital development as a bane of the country development.
He therefore called for a coordinated human capital development to guarantee access to basic education.
According to him, "a perfect human capital development will translate into good governance. Anywhere in the world, human capital development is not compromised because of its importance".
He therefore, called on government at all levels to have coordinated human capital development that would guarantee access to quality basis education.
The governor further pointed out that the current economic situation did not support white cola job, but encouraged youth to exploit the advantage of God-given natural resources.
In another development, the Speaker Kwara State House of Assembly, Dr. Ali Ahmad has tasked youths in Nigeria to be at the vanguard of the crusade against corruption and other social vices impeding the accelerated development of the nation.
The House Leader of the Kwara State House of Assembly Alhaji Hassan Oyeleke gave the advice in Ilorin during a courtesy call to the Speaker Dr Ali Ahmad by members of the Nigerian Youth Parliament.
Hon Oyeleke who frowned at the daily erosion of the nation's core values said corruption which according to him was largely responsible for the nation's present predicament, must be tackled headlong to salvage the nation from the verge of collapse.
He said youths as the nation's future leaders must shun acts capable of impeding the political emancipation and socio-economic transformation of the nation by de-emphasising ethnicity, corruption and inordinate ambitions.
The House Leader advocated that youths be included in positions of authority to enable them contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic and political transformation of the country.
Hon. Oyeleke assured that the legislature in the state under the leadership of the Speaker would continue to identify with issues, legislations and policies that would fast track youth development in the state, adding that the state had domesticated the Child Rights Acts to enhance the well-being of children in the state.
