The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari has turbaned Alhaji Sulyman Lambe Yusuf as the new Kure Ahmeda of Ilorin.

The turbanning ceremony which took place at the Emir's Palace, attracted eminent personalities including sons and daughters of Kure compound, Ita-Ajia Area, Ilorin. Speaking at the event, the Emir of Ilorin charged the new appointee to justify the confidence reposed on him by discharging his traditional responsibilities without fear or favour.

The chairman of the state traditional council particularly emphasized the need for the new Kure Ahmeda to foster peace and harmony among members of his family.

He added that there could not be any meaningful development in any rancorous environment. Sulu Gambari also advised Lambe Yusuf not to betray Sheikh Alimi dynasty by maintaining cordial relationship with the house.

He charged members of the Kure family to support their new leader to ensure overall development of the family and the state in general. Responding, the new Kure Ahmeda of Ilorin, Alhaji Sulyman Lambe Yusuf promised the emir that he would do all within his power to foster unity and peaceful co-existence in the family.

He thanked the emir and all members of his family for the confidence reposed on him and promised not to disappointment them. He solicited the support of all members of Kure compound to move the family forward, adding that a tree could not make a forest.
