FG declares May 30 public holiday
The federal government, through the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd), on Wednesday announced that Monday, May 30, 2016, will be a public holiday to celebrate the 2016 Democracy Day.
In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Bassey Akpanyung, Dambazau congratulates Nigerians on the attainment of one year in office of President Muhammadu Buhari and enjoined all to continue to support the President in his sustained effort in building a peaceful, enduring and democratic legacy.
The minister wishes all Nigerians a happy Democracy Day celebration.
