2016 budget will address Nigerians yearnings - Lai Mohammed
The 2016 budget by the federal government would address the yearnings of Nigerians just as the issue of fuel scarcity will soon be a thing of the past.
The minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed made the declarations yesterday when he visited the headquarters of Media Trust Limited, publishers of Daily Trust newspapers, Abuja.
He hinted that the 2016 budget would soon be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration.
According to him, the issue of fuel scarcity will soon be resolved following the approval of N421billion for the settlement by the National Assembly in the supplementary budget.
The minister lamented that the present administration was experiencing temporary setbacks which is hampering its efforts adding that the government will not make excuses for the setbacks.
Mohammed further added that the amount approved in 2015 budget for fuel subsidy was exhausted and had to go back to National assembly for approval.
The minister thanked the management and staff of Media Trust Limited for the role they played during the last general elections, stating that the sacrifice made helped to bring about the change that Nigerians desired.
