Kwara Assembly to screen commissioner nominees Oct. 20
The Kwara State House of Assembly on Tuesday fixed October 20 for screening of commissioner nominees.
The governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, in a letter to the House on Sept. 26, requested the screening and confirmation of the nominees.
The commissioner nominees are: Engr. Musa Yeketi, Engr. Idris Garbage, Otunba Taiwo Joseph, Aro Yahya, Barrister Abdurazak Shehu Akorede and Bolakale Mayo. The others are Barrister Kamaldeen Ajibade, Engr.Demola Banu, Alhaja Fumilayo Oniwa Isiaka and Mahmud Babatunde Ajeigbe.
The Speaker urged the nominees to submit their original documents which should include certificates, medical report, tax clearance, citizenship, evidence of their party membership and other relevant documents to the clerk before Thursday, October 15.
The House also urged people of the state to forward their questions, complaint or petitions before October 18, to aid the exercise.
The Speaker added that already, the House had constituted an ad-hoc committee headed by the Leader, Hassan Oyeleke, to interact with the nominees.
