Ex-Kwara lawmaker sets records straight on paternity slander
An ex-Kwara lawmaker, Engr. Shehu Sulyman Warah, has denied his alleged involvement in a 'paternity scandal'.
A news site, had reported that Warah was the father of Sola 'Warah', a 23-year old final year student of Federal College of Agriculture in Akure, Ondo State.
In a rejoinder at the weekend, Abdulazeez Yunusa described the allegation as "frivolous and an attempt to tarnish the image of the former lawmaker".
It said Warah had not only denied the false allegation but had proved beyond reasonable doubt that he is not the father of 23-year old.
"This he has done through DNA test in a renowned hospital in Kwara State, Harmony Advanced Diagnostic Centre. The result proved that the former lawmaker is innocent," it said.
"Although Shehu Warah and Hafsat Isola, the mother of student once had an affair, there is also no doubt that the woman in question saw other men.
"It is surprising that Hafsat didn't inform the ex-lawmaker of the Sola until when he was two years old after she tried without success to force her child on two different men.
"This shows that the mother of Sola Warah is either trying to play games or is determined to ensure she finds a father for her child.
"It is rather unfortunate that Hafsat is getting desperate in her attempt to locate the biological father of her son.
"The story has falsehood written all over it and the record has already been set straight through the DNA which confirms that Engr Warah is not the biological father of Sola.
"It is expected that Sola and his mother to apologise to the former lawmaker haven tried to tarnish his image.
"All the best in their quest to locate the paternal history of young man." .Engr. S
