The case which was transferred from Oke-Ode Division to the Criminal and Intelligence Department, Ilorin, was reported at the Division by the victim and one Ahmadu Adamu.

It was gathered that on July 25, a group of five hoodlums invaded their camp and kidnapped Bature Haruna. It was further gathered that they took him to a bush and instructed him to lead them to one Alhaji Debo's house.

The complainants added that when he refused, the kidnapers asked Haruna to give them N2 million.

"When he said he did not have the money, they beat him up", the prosecution said. They added that investigation conducted by the department revealed that Abubakar Umar and his cohorts have been terrorizing Fulanis in the area.
