Kwara ADC Guber Candidate Seeks Cancellation Of Poll Result

The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in Kwara State, during the last general elections, Comrade Abubakar Abdulraheem, has petitioned the state election tribunal, seeking the nullification of the April 11 governorship election.

The ADC governorship candidate, who said, in the petition number Gov/EPI/IL/I/15, that he and his party were duly nominated for thegovernorship election, contended that the exclusion of his name andthat of his party from ballot papers in the election was illegal, nulland void.

The ADC and his governorship candidate had petitioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Resident Electoral Commissioner, All Progressives Congress (APC) and the state governor,praying the tribunal for an order setting aside the declaration of theAPC and return of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed as the winner of the stategovernorship election.
