The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu-Gambari, has charged Kwara United Football Club, to make the state proud in the 2014/2015 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

The royal father said in his palace in Ilorin when the team led by its General Manager, Alhaji Haruna Maigidansanma led other management members and players to seek royal blessings.

The Emir who said he was a keen follower of 3SC of Ibadan and Kwara United challenged the team to win as many as possible away games and secure a continental ticket.

He promised to always be with the team in spirit in all its matches both home and away while urging the players to be good ambassadors of the state.

Presenting the management team and the technical crew to the royal father, the General Manager, Alhaji Haruna Maigidansanma, said it was very important to seek the royal blessing as the Emir is a keen follower of the darling team of the state.

He told the Emir that the club picked a vital away point in Port Harcourt against Dolphins FC in the week one of the new season.

Alhaji Maigidansanma assured the Emir that the team would not disappoint the state in its campaign in the elite division of the nation's league.

The club manager also informed the royal father that the club will kick start its home match in the Premier League on Sunday against El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri.
