PDP Assures Kwara Workers Of Improved Welfare

Date: 2015-03-03

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has assured Kwara workers of enhanced welfare package, if voted into power in the forthcoming general election.

State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Chief Rex Olawoye, gave the assurance, on Monday, while featuring on Harmony FM radio programme: “PDP on the move in Kwara”.

He said the need to look into the workers’ welfare became necessary in view of the fact that the salaries of Kwara civil servants were the lowest in the North Central and other neighbouring states.

Olawoye further noted that public servants hardly enjoy leave bonuses and normal career progression as at when due.

He lamented that the All Progressives Congress-led government was fond of approving marginal increase in the workers’ salaries only at the approach of elections.
