Date: 2015-02-23

The Resident Electoral Commissioner in Kwara State, Dr. Emmanuel Onucheyo, has said that with the sophisticated machines and strategies to be adopted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, rigging will be impossible in the forthcoming elections.

He also called on security agencies and other stakeholders to ensure the security of National Youth Service Corps members, INEC officials, installations and materials during the polls.

He spoke on the sidelines of his working visits to all the 16 local government areas of Kwara State according to a statement by the spokesman for INEC, Kwara State, Mr. Jacob Ayanda.

The INEC chief said he undertook the visits to the remotest council in the state to have an on-the-spot assessment of men and materials for a successful and hitch-free election.
