NLC's Aremu urges more investment in education

Date: 2015-01-12

Vice President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Comrade Issa Aremu has called for more investment in public education to mould the future of the youth.

Speaking at the public presentation of his books in Ilorin, he urged people claiming to be followers of the late Olusola Saraki to emulate his philanthropic nature and support for public education.

The NLC boss who frowned at the decrepit state of facilities in schools urged the state government to improve on its investment in public education.

He said: "I went back to my school and I was excited. The only thing that makes me a little bit sad is that the poor Kwara State of those days maintained public schools better than the richer Kwara State of 2015."
