Former Military Administrator of Bauchi and Osun States, Col Theophilus Bamigboye (rtd.), has been installed as the pioneer charter President of the Rotary Club of Ilorin GRA.

The impressive ceremony was held in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital and graced by dignitaries from all walks of life including the Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Gambari and the representatives of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade among others.

Bamigboye, currently the Chairman, Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic, Bida in Niger State, promised to pursue the ideals of the organisation with a view to further serving the people.

He said the world would be a better place to be if the people lived for one another through humanitarian services.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Guest Speaker, Dr Joseph Fayeye implored the people to imbibe the values of the rotary which according to him was laced with love for humanity through selfless services.

Other dignitaries at the occasion include the Chief Judge of Kwara State, Justice Ayinla Bamgbola, the state PDP Chairman, Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, Dele Belgore (SAN), General Olayemi Abidoye and the Rector Federal Polytechnic, Bida among others.
