Emir's Loss: Kwara Mourns with Kano Emirate Council
Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed has described the death of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Abdullahi Bayero as a national loss of unimaginable proportion as the deceased represented one of the finest, most loved and respected traditional rulers of modern Nigeria.
Governor Ahmed, who made this remark in a condolence message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba, said Emir Ado Bayero added colour and penache to the traditional institution of not only Kano Emirate, Northern Nigeria but the country as a whole through his candour and statesmanship.
“As a Nigerian who lived and worked in Kano for many years, I recalled that the reign of Alhaji Ado Bayero as the Emir of Kano deepened the values of the Emirate as the Centre of Commerce in West Africa”; the Governor Said.
Governor Ahmed extended his condolences to the Kano Emirate Council and Kano State Government on the death of the Emir with a prayer that Allah grants them the fortitude to bear the lose and the deceased Aljanat Fridaous.
