The 25-year-old accused of Tipper Garage, Ilorin, Kwara State, allegedly conspired with other suspected hooligans now at large to attack and injured some of the actors at the movie shoot.

The incident had occurred on April 7, 2014 when the  suspected hoodlums allegedly demanded for land charge from the film producer, which he (producer) refused to offer.

The accused was arrested sequel to a report at ‘F’ Division, Ilorin, by one of the actors, Sodiq Adebayo of Felele Area, Ibadan, who came to Ilorin for film shooting that the accused caused pandemonium at their film location.

According to the complainant, the accused and his gang seriously injured Femi Adebayo.

Police First Information Report (FIR) on the matter stated that in the process of arresting the accused, his cohart attacked the police operatives and started firing at them and eventually shot one of the hoodlums, Babajide George to death.

The FIR added that investigation conducted at the Department of Investigation, State Headquarters, Ilorin, revealed that the accused with others at large criminally conspired, attacked and inflicted serious wound on one Femi Adebayo an artist and also shot the deceased to death during the attack.

The prosecutor, Corporal Adewumi Johnson objected to the bail of the accused and urged the court to remand him in prison custody since the offences were not ordinarily bailable.

The defence, Barrister Kolade A. Awojobi pray the court to admit the accused to bail pending the outcome of investigation.

The judge, Mrs. M.B. Ahmed, who refused the oral application of the defence ordered that the accused be remanded at the Federal Prison, Oke-Kura, Ilorin, pending the determination of the case against him.

The case was adjourned to April 25 for further mention.
