Woman Stabs Her Brother To Death.
The police in Kwara State, northcentral Nigeria, have arrested Elizabeth Eze, a resident of Chikanda in Baruten Local Government Area, for allegedly stabbing her younger brother, Emeka, to death.
The suspect, who hails from Enugu State, eastern Nigeria, was said to have stabbed Emeka over a minor disagreement on Sunday, 9 February.
The incident happened when the two of them reportedly disagreed over who should first take a bath as they were preparing for church service.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) learnt that they were struggling for a bucket before the sad turn of event.
An eyewitness said the deceased insisted that he would take his bath first because he was sent on errand by the church.
It was learnt that their mother, Chinyere, waded into the matter and seized the bucket from them.
However, Elizabeth, said to be in her late 20s, went into their kitchen and brought out a knife with which she stabbed her brother .
Alhaji Shittu, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Yashikira, confirmed the incident to NAN.
Shittu said that the matter had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Ilorin for further investigation.
He added that the mother, who came to report the case, was also taken to Ilorin but returned home on Wednesday.
