KWSG orders Nursing School Oke-Ode to begin academic activities
The development followed a successful facility tour and assessment by an Accreditation Advisory Team in the college.
According to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, Alhaji Jibril Baba Haruna, the State Governor, Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed has further released N7.68 million to facilitate effective take-off of the School of Midwifery in the College in earnest.
In a statement made available to The Herald On Sunday at weekend, the State Governor is fully committed to effective take-off of the college, hence his directive for immediate commencement of academic activities in the college.
The Accreditation Advisory Team had come and gone. The Governor has pledged to carryout necessary provisions of highlighted in the report of the team.
“We are sure of a good report coming from the team granting the college final go-ahead.
Speaking Earlier, the leader of the visiting team, Dr. Gloria Obong commended the state government for the provision of the expansive land for the College, the good structures and other facilities provided for the take-off of the college.
Dr. Obong appreciated the commitment of the communities for its contributions to the school stressing that sky is the beginning of the development at the College.
The team leader had earlier highlighted some items that were still required for the take-off of the college which included provision of functional compute sets, additional furniture, current relevant books and journals at the Library, electricity, water and adequate manpower at the Hospital for student practical attachment.
Welcoming the guests, the provost of the college, Mr. Maloma Luke thanked the State Governor, Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed for his zeal and commitments to the school.
The provost further praised the visiting team for doing a thorough job and assured the team that the Ministry of Tertiary Education and indeed, the State Governor would scale up their intervention to the college to address other challenges in the college.
