Newspaper distributors task Kwara gov on dividends of democracy
Newspaper and magazine vendors in Kwara State under the aegis of Magazines and Newspapers Distributors' Association of Nigeria (MANDAN) have appealed to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed on dividends of democracy.
Chairman of the association Evangelist Jeremiah Fatunmbi made the call during an award presentation and launch of the association's almanac in Ilorin.
He said government should come to the aid of the association because newspaper distributors, "are the people who take your achievements to the doorsteps of the people.
We need empowerment to increase the scope of our operations".
He said delay in payment by newspaper buyers is one of the biggest challenges confronting the association.
