Press Release: Kwara APC assures aspirants of fairness, says it will conduct primary election.
In a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, the APC assured all aspirants of fairness and acceptable primary elections.
"We want to assure all party members, supporters and the good people of Kwara State that primary elections for all elective positions will hold as earlier scheduled in line with the commitment of our party to internal and participatory democracy.
"There is no cause for alarm and our members have no reason to express fear or anxiety. Our party is yet to decide on any candidate for whatever position. Our party will decide through acceptable primary elections.
"Meanwhile, In constituencies where party stakeholders and members present consensus candidates, our party will honour such agreement but such consensus arrangement will not halt the conduct of primary elections for the concerned elective positions.
"By and large, our nomination forms are available for purchase by all aspirants and we can assure all members of our party that no aspirant will be stopped from participating in the primary election.
"We call on aspirants and their supports to exercise calmness and tranquillity as the leadership of APC in Kwara State will ensure a fair and acceptable primary election.", the statement read.
