OPINION: Re: Osun Election Post Mortem: I Bring Glad Tidings To Kwara PDP. By John

Date: 2014-08-11

Every Nigerian today would not fail to congratulate INEC for a job well done so far. It has shown that good can come out of this country no matter how shattered our image has been in the international community. If there is anything left for any one to be proud of in Nigeria today is the good job done by INEC so far. Even if not completely perfect, at least to an extent, compared to what we had in the days of Prof. Maurice Iwu, it is worth commending. Like it started in Edo, Anambra, Ondo, Ekiti and now Osun, there is no doubt that Prof. Jega is set for business come 2015.

Be that as it may, one would have expected that in this present day of civilization, writers like Abdullahi that intend to inform the populace to live above board by not spreading rumours but put pen to paper with serious evidence to back their claims.

Abdullahi no doubt has been dead asleep if really he resides in Ilorin for the past three and a half years like he claims. He contradicted himself by saying that a government that has been sleeping is making laudable projects like KWABES, IVC, Quickwin and other empowerment programmes like Soludero available to the good people of the State.

May I say that I and many colleagues of mine are true beneficiaries of the Quickwin programme and I have been friends to those who benefited from the KWABES programme too. If not for 'bad-bele', how can one claim these programmes are fraudulent?

If you have not benefited does not make the programmes a fraud, it could just be that you are not qualified or not yet your turn. That's the law of nature, everybody cannot get the same thing at the same time. Afterall, how many jobs has the FG who collects about 52% of Nigerian's allocation provided for its citizenry? Well, that's a discussion for another day.

Let me also remind you that there are countless evidence of people that Harmony Diagnostic Centre has saved from the trap of death. There are people that have been sick for over 10 years but that centre showed the true result of their illness, some brain tumor, some stomach stone and many other sicknesses our ordinary hospitals couldn't detect.

Like the saying goes, an empty drum makes the loudest noise. It's time in this country when those who claim to educate people live above party or personal interest for the sake of the populace they intend to enlighten.

Abdullahi and his paymasters should please wake up from their slumber as Nigeria is deep in corruption, oil bunkering, insecurity, etc. Nigerians are dying everyday from the hands of Boko Haram insurgence, millions of Naira are said to be missing from the federation account and Asari Dokubo and his brothers a are 'legally' stealing the crude oil without checks from the PDP government.

Can Abdullahi tell Nigerians what Nigerians have benefited from the PDP government since 2015?

It's time we all arise and call evil by its name and help restore the glory of Nigeria, our Father land.
