Kwara APC holds ward congress Apr 5
The Kwara State chapter of All Progressives Congress on Wednesday said its congresses that will elect 5,447 officials to direct party affairs will kick off with the ward congress on Saturday, April 5.
The Interim Publicity Secretary, Kwara State, APC, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, in a statement in Ilorin said the party had concluded arrangements to conduct its congresses at ward, local government and state levels.
He stated that 26 officials would be elected from each of the 193 wards of the state.
He added that 25 officials will be elected from each of the 16 local government areas; while 29 would be elected in the state.
“The ward congress will be held on Saturday, April 5; local government congress on April 12, while state congress is fixed for April 23.
“The leadership of APC in Kwara State has concluded all arrangements to ensure the conduct of hitch free congresses.
“We encourage all our members to troupe out en masse and participate in the congresses as the congress is an exercise to advance our collective interests towards the development of Kwara State and Nigeria,” Buhari said.
