Kwara United coach, Samson Unuanel has told Kano Pillars to expect a tough encounter when they visit Ilorin for a Premier League fixture tomorrow.

The Afonja Warriors are enjoying a rich vein of form at the moment and the coach said beating the defending champions would confirm their readiness to challenge for the title.

“It is a crucial match for us; we know the importance of the match and we will approach it like a World Cup finals. They are the defending champions and are also topping the league table now but we are not scared because we are also in a good form,” he said.

The coach believes the team is hitting top form after defeating Lobi Stars 1-0 away from home on Wednesday. The former Enyimba coach said the Lobi Stars game was indeed a tough match for the Afonja Warriors but remained happy they survived the onslaught and came out victorious.

“It is a good feeling to win away match, it gives us more confidence to win more matches and every weekend that I play I feel like winning.

“We worked for each other as a team and we played as a team. That was what we did in Kastina-Ala, and everyone is so happy that we secured the maximum points at stake.”
