Grassroots Education Boost: Kwara Councillor Donates Books to Nine Primary Schools in Ilorin West
To support learning and improve access to educational materials in Kwara State, nine primary schools in Ubandawaki Ward, Ilorin West Local Government Area, received book donations from the Councillor representing the ward, Hon. Onibonoje Maruf Olayinka.
The distribution, carried out across the seven zones of Ubandawaki Ward, covered:
- Badur-Rahman Primary School
- Anifowoshe LGEA A & B
- Baraka Primary School
- Oke Pakata LGEA A & B
- Gbemisola Primary School
- Ikwahu Zohfar
- Gaa Saka Primary School
According to Hon. Onibonoje, the initiative aims to encourage a reading culture among pupils and complement government efforts to strengthen basic education at the grassroots level.
Teachers and community members who witnessed the exercise described the gesture as a welcome boost for pupils and a positive step toward addressing the shortages of learning materials in public schools.
Education stakeholders in the area also commended the Kwara State Government and Ilorin West Local Government for their continued support of education development initiatives across the state.
The book donation forms part of broader community-driven efforts to promote literacy and improve the quality of primary education in Ubandawaki Ward and its environs.
