Kwara Governor Mourns Lagos-based Businessman Alhaji Yusuf Oriniowo

Date: 2025-05-19

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed deep sorrow over the death of statesman and philanthropist Alhaji Yusuf Musa Oriniowo, calling it the end of an era for Moro Local Government Area (LGA).

Alhaji Oriniowo, a prominent Lagos-based businessman from Lanwa community in Moro LGA, was celebrated for funding the construction of the Oke Oyi-Lanwa Road over four decades ago-a key community intervention among his many contributions.

Governor AbdulRazaq highlighted the road project as a testament to Oriniowo's commitment to public service, stating: "His legacy as a visionary leader and selfless giver will forever be remembered in Moro."

"This legacy of philanthropy and contributions to development has outlived him, and generations yet unborn will read about his footprints in the sand of time. Alhajj Oriniowo was truly a great man. He will be sorely missed," the Governor says.

He prays to Allaah to ease the account of Alhaji Oriniowo, illuminate his grave, and admit him to al-jannah Firdaus.
