The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union, IEDPU FCT Chapter, has extended its warmest congratulations to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on the occasion of his 29th anniversary, as reported by IncNews247.

Alhaji Lukman Atanda Abdullah, Chairman of IEDPU FCT Chapter, praised the Emir's leadership, describing it as "creative, innovative, and inclusive, and people-focused".

According to Alhaji Abdullah, the Emir has continued to add colour to the throne of his forebears, and his leadership has been a source of inspiration to the people of Ilorin Emirate.

Abdullah expressed delight that the reign of the First Class traditional ruler has brought tremendous socio-economic development and expansion to the Ilorin Emirate in particular and Kwara state in general.

“The 29-year reign of the Emir has brought tremendous socio-economic development and expansion to the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State. He has also brought unprecedented unity to the Ilorin Emirate and its environs,” he said.

He described the Emir as “a father figure, custodian of Ilorin's rich cultural heritage, and vanguard of peace and unity who believes in the oneness and indivisibility of Nigeria.”
