One Dies as Rival Cult Groups Clash in Kwara
A clash between suspected cult groups has claimed the life of one person, while many others were injured and valuables, including three cars, were destroyed by the rampaging groups in Pakata area, Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State, weekend.
Vanguard gathered that the clash followed the killing by a suspected cultist simply identified as Abiodun in broad daylight by another rival group member, named Yusuf over a disagreement.

While the retaliatory attacks lasted, three cars were destroyed and many people injured.
According to an eyewitness, “When the gang came, they started shooting sporadically into the air and people were running in opposite directions. They later invaded the compound and macheted family members sighted, leaving many injured.”
Contacted, spokeswoman of the state police command, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, confirmed the incident, saying: “I have been informed of the incident and investigation is ongoing.”
