Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission: REC Calls For Integrity

The Kwara State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Mallam Attahiru Madami, has urged members of the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWASIEC) to discharge their duties with all sense of integrity, honesty, dedication and passion for the job, while assuring them of the Commission's readiness to offer all necessary assistance.

Madami gave the advice when the Chairman, Mr. Okanla Baba, and other members of the Commisssion paid him a courtesy visit.

In his remarks, Okanla commended the REC for the conduct of the 2023 Elections in the state.

According to him, the essence of the visit was to thank the REC and solicit for the Commission's assistance and cooperation to enable them discharge their duties diligently.

He assured the people of the State of free and transparent local government elections due to hold soon.

He further advised that they put in writing specific areas they need assistance from the commission so as to seek for approval from the National Headquarters.
