KWASU VC Warns Students against Vices

Date: 2012-12-06

The Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU) Malete, Moro Local Government Area (LGA) of Kwara State, Professor AbdulRasheed Na'Allah; has cautioned students of the institution against any unwholesome act that could soil the image of the institution.

Na'Allah, who spoke at the institution's fourth matriculation, said that the students caught committing bad acts would be prosecuted whether or not they lived in the school's hostels.

"The only choice you have is to be of a good behaviour. If you are caught (committing atrocities) even outside the campus bearing our name and identity, you will be made to face the wrath of law. You are therefore warned in your own interest," he said.

On the alleged plan by the state government to re-name KWASU after the late political icon, Dr. Olusola Saraki, Na'Allah said that the university would abide by whatever decision the state government takes on the issue.

The vice chancellor said that 7,525 candidates applied for admission to the university in the 2012/2013 session but could only admit 1,525.
