NPFL: Rivers Utd Plan To Cripple Kwara Utd On Sunday

Date: 2021-01-09

Rivers United Football Club of Port Harcourt are living no stone unturned to feast on their visitors when they lock horns in one of the matches billed for the professional league on Sunday.

Still basking on their recent successful outing in the CAF Confederation Cup, Rivers are 'killer' mood to outwit Kwara United boys in front of their teeming fans.

On injuries of their key players, Rivers technical crew are not nurturing any fear as they hope to utilise 'ever-ready' substitutes who have been yearning for top-flight actions.

"Some players in the team are injured. Theophilus Afelokai is injured, Destiny Ashadi is injured. They are key players that we really need their services but in their absence, we will make do with the other players who are ready to deliver. No their absence will not affect the team', River coach, Stanley Eguma, has been drumming that to football followers.

Kwara United are also not a side to lookdown on while considering their recent 2-0 defeat of Plateau United in the opening game of the League, at the New Jos Stadium.

Jide Fatokun and Ohanu Michael would still be at their best to rescue the Ilorin team when the chips are down.
