All is now set for the 28th convocation ceremonies of the University of Ilorin, which begin on Monday with a press briefing by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede at the University auditorium basement by 9am.

In an invitation extended to City Rove in Ilorin mid-week, the week long event would feature a convocation play, titled "EDA", an opera by Duro Ladipo, on Wednesday at Performing Arts Theatre by 7pm.

This would be followed by convocation lecture tilted "African Schooling and Education: The Hopes, Aspirations and Challenges- A Critical Dialogue by the Vice-Chancellor of University of Education, Winneba, Ghana, Professor Akwasi Asabere-Ameyaw, and would be followed by a Colloquium/Interactive session with Professor S.B. Chumbow at 9am.

The Chancellor's cocktail in honour of the convocation lecturer will hold at the Chancellor's Lodge by 6pm.

As highlighted in the invitation, convocation for the award of prizes, first degrees and diplomas for Faculties of Arts, Business and Social Sciences, Communication and Information Science, Education and Science will take place at the university auditorium by 9am while the commissioning of projects by the Visitor to the institution, President Goodluck Jonathan, will hold at 5pm on Monday October 22.

Convocation for the award of prizes, first degrees for Faculties of Agriculture, Engineering and Technology, Law, Medicine and Post Graduate Degrees and Diplomas will hold on Tuesday October 23rd by 9am at the university auditorium.

The invitation also indicated that the convocation luncheon and merit awards will hold at Vice-Chancellor's Lodge by 1pm.
